Graduate Students: Share Your Research at WES-CIHE
Are you a graduate student or early-career professional who is focusing on the internationalization of higher education?
Here is your chance to present your original research to meaningful change-makers.
World Education Services (WES) and the Boston College Center for International Higher Education (CIHE) invite you to submit a paper showcasing your recent work in the field.
If your paper is selected, you will be invited to present your findings at the annual WES-CIHE Summer Institute. The event will take place at Boston College, in Massachusetts, from June 10 to June 12, 2020.
The theme is “Innovative and Inclusive Internationalization in Higher Education.”
It highlights the fact that internationalization has, so far, benefited only a small and privileged subset of stakeholders. This inequity calls for a new and more inclusive approach.
The WES-CIHE Summer Institute provides a platform for students, scholars, and early-career practitioners to discuss ways to make progressive strides.
Our goal is to empower and inspire the next generation of international education professionals. These leaders will change the way the world thinks about global mobility by spearheading new ideas, concepts, strategies, and initiatives.
Here’s what some scholars had to say about the event in 2019:
- “I’m appreciative for a space that provides students and young professionals the opportunity to share their work.”
- “Thank you for connecting us to a network of peers and allowing us to meet and learn from experts in the field.”
- “It was a very interesting and inspiring event.”
- “I loved the diversity of presenters and topics.”
Why Should You Attend?
The WES-CIHE Summer Institute is a great opportunity for those who are just starting out in the field to network with their peers, as well as leaders from the field.
Plus, you get to help shape the conversation around innovative and inclusive internationalization.
If your paper is accepted, you may qualify for a $250-$750 USD scholarship to help cover travel and accommodation costs. Additionally, the full registration fee ($125 USD) will be waived.
Who Else Is Attending?
The WES-CIHE Summer Institute brings together graduate students, early-career professionals, and leading scholars in the field of international higher education. Additionally, it welcomes senior international officers from around the world.
You have the opportunity to join a lineup of international presenters that includes thought leaders from Australia, Ireland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the U.S.
