Moving to New Zealand with Your International Education

WES Advisor | February 29, 2024

Are you considering a move to New Zealand? If so, the first step is to learn what is required. If you have received university degrees, diploma certificates, or similar credentials in another country, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) requires you to provide verifiable authentication evidence of your academic credentials. A Global Records Verification Report is the premier method to authenticate your international academic records.

Continue reading to learn how WES is partnering with NZQA to help individuals fulfill this requirement before they relocate to New Zealand.

What is a Global Records Verification Report?

A Global Records Verification Report is an accepted form of verification evidence for an NZQA international qualifications assessment. Authentication of international academic records is a required step in NZQA’s evaluation process.

The Global Records Verification Report is designed to expedite services for individuals who need their qualifications recognized in New Zealand. It is highly recommended that you submit your application for a Global Records Verification Report as early as possible. This will help you meet deadlines and avoid delays.

How to receive a WES Global Records Verification Report

WES is committed to supporting our applicants’ professional and academic goals. When applying to move and work in New Zealand, we strive to make the process as seamless as possible. One way we do that is by making it easy to obtain a Global Records Verification Report. Just follow these three key steps:

  1. Create an account and submit an application to receive a WES reference number.
  2. Submit your documents based on our Required Documents.
  3. Once all required documents are received, WES verifies your credentials, creates your report, and delivers it directly to NZQA.

Once WES completes the Global Records Verification Report, our secure online delivery system will send an original copy of the report directly to NZQA. You will not need to send a copy of the report to NZQA.

You will also receive a notification in your account after the report has been sent to NZQA. You can always check the status of your application by logging in to My Account.
